The Government of West Bengal is organizing the second edition of the ‘Bengal Leads Summit’ titled ‘Bengal Leads-2013’ from 15th to 17th January 2013 at the Helipad Grounds, Haldia, Purba Medinipore. The state will exhibit its areas of strength and opportunities in varied sectors and facilitate interaction amongst all stakeholders.

The initiative for organizing the event is being under taken by the Department of Commerce & Industries, Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal. The main objective of holding this ‘exhibition-cum-business summit’ is to create a platform wherein the government will largely discuss and explain the vast business opportunities lying in store for the entrepreneurs as well for business houses in West Bengal and will also like to have direct interactions with all the stakeholders.
The summit will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee at 2 p.m. on January 15, 2013. There will be panel discussions on different sectors including B2B meetings at the venue of the summit on 16th and 17th January 2013.
Top industrialists across the country and abroad have been invited to attend the inaugural ceremony of the summit as well as to attend the summit.
The sectors that will be exhibited, discussed and explained during the seminar are Manufacturing, Engineering, Automobile, Medium & Small Scale Enterprises, Export, Tourism, Handicrafts, Culture & Textiles, Food Processing & Horticulture, Education & Health, Infrastructure – Roads, Airport, Port, Power, Environment, Information Technology & e-Governance, Agriculture & Agri- Marketing & Public Sector Undertakings.
The panel discussion will take place in pre and post-lunch parallel sessions in three seminar halls at the venue on 16th and 17th January 2013. This will also be followed by linked B2B meetings on the same days. The summit will come to a an end on the 17th evening with a colourful closing ceremony to be attended by eminent industrialists and personalities.
